Exhibition of Entries

All entries submitted as part of the 2018 Queensland Architecture Awards will be exhibited in a number of spaces leading up to the State Architecture Awards Event in June.

The first of these exhibitions will take place in the foyer of 1 William Street in Brisbane's CBD.
This exhibition will be formally launched on Thursday 10 May 2018 (6:30pm - 8:30pm) and will remain on display to the public (during business hours) until Friday 25 May 2018.

The Launch Event will be an invite only event.

There are also some smaller scale exhibitions in negotiations in Brisbane until the 2018 Queensland Architecture Awards Regional Roadshow commencing in Townsville on 10 August.

Time: 6:30pm - 10:30pm

Dress Code: Cocktail

Theme: "A Pop of Pink"

Our 2018 Queensland State Architecture Awards will this year be hosted on the Gold Coast on the final day of the 2018 National Architecture Conference.

We are excited to bring the event into one of our regions and include as part of the National Architecture Conference program.

Disclaimer: The format for this event has changed. The focus will remain on the Awarding of projects, however there will also be plenty of time for socialising with a band booked for entertainment, photo booth to capture those 'special moments' and a People's Choice competition for the Student Art Installation to be exhibited at the event (not to be confused with the Architecture Awards People's Choice).

Queensland Architecture Awards Regional Roadshow Events

The former Regional Architecture Awards events have also been revamped to form the Queensland Architecture Awards Regional Roadshow.

These events will continue to acknowledge the local entries that year as well as celebrate their successes at both the Regional & State level. This will also be the platform for the Regional Project of the Year & People's Choice Award to be announced.

In addition, there will be a Design Talk from two Awards winning projects (from the same year). Intended to run in a similar format to the Out There Speaker series in Brisbane and will include either two (2) State Named Awards recipients or the local Building and House of the Year (of a combination of both).

The hope is this will make the regional events more accessible to a greater number of people and not simply those that have entered that year. It does also allow the Institute to offer CPD points to those attending.

Further information on each of the events to follow.
