Dulux London Study Tour – winners’ announcement
After an intense judging process of over 100 entries, five emerging and graduate architects have been offered a place on the Dulux Study Tour to London. Celebrate with the winners at the official announcement. The five winners will be announced at the RAIA Bar in Form & Function; please join us on Saturday 12 April at 3.45pm for drink and canapés.

Flying to London in May, thanks to Virgin Atlantic, the tour will include exclusive visits to significant architecture as well as a vast range of networking opportunities. Emergency Architects Australia Inaugural Conference, April 13, Sydney
Emergency Architects Australia (EAA) is a non-profit volunteer organisation which assists with emergency relief and reconstruction programs in developing countries in the Asia Pacific region. EAA is part of an international network created by Architectes de l’Urgence, France.

EAA forms partnerships with local practitioners, local governments and other NGO’s as well as with the recipient communities. Together they develop appropriate and sustainable strategies for each phase of disaster relief. Visit

Green Building & Design 2008 Conference – five locations
RMIT Centre for Design is collaborating with Curtin University of Technology, University of South Australia and the Centre for Subtropical Design to present this event in five cities around Australia.

The conference will be held in Melbourne (16-17 April) and Sydney (30 April-1 May), and for the first time also in Brisbane (14-15 May), Adelaide (28-29 May) and Perth (4-5 June). More information:

China International Architectural Expo, October 2008
The 3rd China International Architectural Expo will be held following the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games. Institutes and companies of architectural design and building materials will gather in Beijing to display their latest concepts and technologies.

The Expo theme is ‘Innovation Promotes Development, Building Material Enriches Design’. Various academic activities and interchange programs will be held the same time. Architectural design, building materials and facilities companies are invited to join this grand event to promote the development of architecture and building materials industry of China.
