NATIONAL TOUR - Cross-Over Package
Saturday 21st April, 11:00am – 1:00pm Melbourne Convention Centre TOM HENEGHAN (UNIVERSITY OF SYDNEY) JOHN HOCKINGS (ARCHITECTUS) MARK BURRY (RMIT & SIAL) Our advocates exemplify a curiously contested issue that needs reflection at least, resolution at best. It’s polarising, it’s inconsistent, it differentiates us further from other professions, its historic precedents are interpretable and its impact is profound…it’s the fact that the ‘Profession’ and the ‘Academy’ cannot agree if top teachers, (or sometimes any teachers), should be practitioners. It’s a massive one. How our discipline is taught realistically relates to how our discipline performs. Hearing from noted academics who make beautiful buildings should provoke a necessary finale after ‘tripping’. Some pure academics and some pure practitioners (all unequivocally accomplished) have representation on the Question Crew and Lucid Lounge. ![]()
