Solar by Design for Architects
The Australian Solar Council is running a series of “Solar by Design” courses for the architecture industry to provide assistance and guidance on the incorporation of solar and renewable energy into new projects.
The course will be delivered by Glen Morris (VP of the Australian Solar Council & the Energy Storage Council) and Eric Peterson, PhD, RPEQ, Adjunct Senior Fellow, School of Civil Engineering, The University of Queensland.
The aims of this workshop are:
- Overview of the relevant solar technologies and how each one serves a different purpose
- Show examples and ideas around architectural solar integration
- Ideal placement and conditions for solar products
- How architects can design in the right system and energy aspects that the client may be looking for.
The first course will be held at the University of Queensland’s Global Change Institute, St Lucia Campus, 31 March, 1-4pm.
