Future Shack
by Sean Godsell Architects

IN THE ARCHITECTS WORDS

A mass produced, self sustained, re-locatable house for emergency, relief and remote housing. Re-cycled shipping containers are used as a base module. The parasol roof and footing structure pack within the contrainer for transportation. The house uses 12v solar power. While the prototype has cooking / lavatory

facilities the base module can be varied depending on specific needs. Because the container is a unversal module, multiple units can be easily stacked and transported at short notice eg: India, Kosovo, Kobe, Turkey, Soweto, Ethiopia, East Timor, Athens (People recently displaced by natural disaster or war).
